Want to get a job?
You can get help from the lone parent adviser at
Jobcentre Plus. They help with childcare costs, too.
They can usually help with money for fares or clothes for
interviews, or for books for courses. Things like that.
There’s all sorts of courses for you.
Even if you’ve dropped out of school, there’s special access courses to help you catch up on the education you missed. Some access courses help you get onto degree courses, nursing or teacher training.
If you want help with spelling or similar,
there’s help at your local college or
community education centre. Ask Connexions
or the lone parent adviser at Jobcentre Plus.

They’re really keen to help you.
They have people who can help with access funds, childcare and grants. Some have crêches.
For information ask the Student Welfare Adviser in your local college, or your Connexions PA or the lone parent adviser at Jobcentre Plus. See Who Else Can Help?
