Connexions
Connexions Personal Advisers (PA's) have a similar job to the lone parent adviser. They can
advise about help with personal things like counselling, drugs, health, etc, as well
as with education, jobs and training. They’ll find the
right person to help you. See Connexions in Who Else Can Help?

love it, helping young people make a big difference to their lives."

Every Jobcentre
Plus
has a lone
parent adviser.
They’ll listen to
you and tell you
what’s available.
They can help you
decide if you want
to go back to
work. They may
even help with money for
things for interviews, like
bus fares or a new outfit.
That’s their job.
They will spend time with
you working out what
courses might help you,
how you can afford to go
on them, how your child
can be professionally
looked after, and stuff like
that.
