Using childcare can be a good way of supporting you as well as being helpful to your baby. Baby can develop and mix with other adults and children, apart from your own family.
There are day nurseries, childminders, play groups, out of school clubs, crêches.
You can decide which one is best for you and your child.
Liverpool Children's Information Service can explain:
- what each type has to offer
- what's available in your area
- what to ask for when choosing childcare
- which ones are OFSTED registered (meet government standards)
It's your choice, but using childcare means baby will be well cared-for
and will meet other children in a quality environment.
You can also go back to school, training or
work.
If you are under 19, Care to Learn
can pay for your childcare if you
want to go on a course. It must
be registered childcare, though.
