Staying at home means your family can help you through what could be a difficult time.
Getting your own place might seem great but it's not easy, and you might end up somewhere grotty. It happens.
But there can be strains on relationships if you stay at home. Often, the baby’s grandmother thinks she knows best (perhaps she does) and it can be difficult knowing who’s bringing up baby – you or your mum?
Your brothers or sisters might find it disruptive too.

Where you live is really important for both you and baby. Even a nice flat is no use if you’re miles from the support of family or friends.
If you do need accommodation, help is available. See Housing in Who Else Can Help?
