Contact the Homeless Team. They specialise in helping people with housing problems. They arrange an interview with you to assess your situation. They can advise on housing and your legal rights, and help you find temporary hostel accommodation if you need it. When you go, take:

Write down the name of the person you speak to, and make a note of what they tell you.
If they’re closed you can call Liverpool Direct 0151 233 3000 or ask at a police station. |
You’ll probably be considered homeless if:
- you’ve nowhere where you have a right to live (e.g. you’re sleeping at a friend’s)
- it’s not reasonable for you to stay where you’re living (risk of violence perhaps)
If you’re homeless because you left home the council may check whether there's any chance of you returning to your family.
